Victron EasySolar-II 24/3000/70-32 MPPT 250/70 GX All-in-one solar solution

The EasySolar-II GX device combination (MPN: PMP242307010) from Victron Energy combines a powerful MultiPlus-II inverter/charger, a SmartSolar MPPT 250/70-Tr solar charge controller, and a GX device with a 2x 16-character LCD display in a single enclosure. The components are pre-wired and combined in a single unit to save you time and simplify all related installation procedures.

Operation in series with the grid

The EasySolar-II GX uses surplus PV energy to charge the batteries or feed it into the grid, and when necessary, it discharges the batteries or draws power from the grid to compensate for missing PV energy. In the event of a power failure, it disconnects from the grid and continues to supply the connected consumers. If certain loads need to be switched off when there is no AC input, this can be done via a second output. These loads are monitored by the PowerControl and PowerAssistant functions to limit the AC input to a safe level.

How it works Parallel to the grid

The EasySolar-II GX uses information from an optionally available external AC sensor or an electricity meter to maximize self-consumption and regulate the feed-in of electricity to the grid if necessary. In the event of a power failure, it continues to supply essential consumers. A current sensor with a capacity of 100A and a sensitivity of 50mA is used to implement these power functions and optimize self-consumption with external current measurement. The maximum current is either 50A or 100A and the connection cable has a minimum length of 1m. The following current transformers are available as optional extras:

• Victron current transformer 100A:50mA for MultiPlus-II (5m) wire end
• Victron current transformer 100A:50mA for MultiPlus-II (20m) wire end

Three-phase operation

The device can be connected to other products and configured for a three-phase output. It is possible to connect up to 6 groups of three-phase units in parallel to provide an inverter power of 45kW/54kVA and a charging capacity of over 600A.

PowerControl – Optimizing the power supply with limited AC power

The EasySolar-II GX has the ability to handle an extremely high charging current. This places a considerable strain on the AC input. Therefore, the product allows the setting of a maximum current level. In this way, it takes into account the needs of other power-driven devices and uses only the remaining surplus power for the charging process.

PowerAssist – Extended use of generator or shore power

This extension adds an extra dimension to the PowerControl concept, enabling the product to supplement the performance of the alternative power source. In the event of peak power requirements, which are often only needed for a short time, the product ensures immediate compensation through battery power if the AC input power is insufficient. As soon as the load decreases, the excess power is used to charge the battery.

Display and WiFi

The display shows information about the battery, inverter, and solar charge controller parameters. This information can then be accessed and analyzed via a smartphone or other WiFi-enabled device. In addition, WiFi allows you to configure the system and adjust settings. Victron Energy's free website or app for remote monitoring (VRM) also allows you to view all your system information in a comprehensive graphical format. the portal can be used to make remote system adjustments and receive alarm notifications by email.
