Victron RS Smart Solar 48/6000 Inverter, 230 V, 6 kW, 2 MPPTs

The Victron RS Smart Solar 48/6000 inverter (MPN: PIN482601000) combines a 48 V off-grid inverter with 6 kVA capacity and two high-voltage MPPT solar charge controllers. Power for demanding AC loads

The inverter generates a pure sine wave at 230 V and can therefore power even sensitive electronic devices as well as loads with high inrush current. At 25 °C, the continuous output power increases linearly depending on the battery voltage, from 4,800 W at 46 V to 5,300 W at 52 V. For short-term load peaks, up to 9 kW is available for 3 seconds when the unit is cold. At higher ambient temperatures, the output power is reduced. The battery, cable cross-sections, fuses, and installation location must be appropriately sized for the system.

Two MPPT Trackers for High-Voltage PV Strings

Each of the two MPPT trackers handles up to 3,000 W of DC solar charging power. They continuously adjust the electrical operating point of the connected solar modules to the available PV power. The permissible MPPT range is between 65 and 450 V; a minimum of 120 V is required for startup. A maximum operating PV input current of 12 A is specified per tracker. When designing the string configuration, the absolute 450 V limit, the temperature-dependent open-circuit voltage of the modules, and the relationship to the battery’s float voltage must be taken into account.

Configuration and Integration into Victron Systems

The integrated display shows key operating data for the battery, inverter, and solar charge controller. Values can be read and settings adjusted via Bluetooth and the VictronConnect app. A GX device is connected via VE.Can; with the necessary system equipment, this enables centralized monitoring, data logging, and use of the VRM portal. VE.Direct is used, among other things, to connect to a compatible GlobalLink. For larger systems, up to twelve units connected in parallel are supported. In a three-phase system, up to four devices can be used per phase.
