The Votronic D+ Simulator Pro

If consumers are only to be operated when the engine is running, or if the classic on-board and starter batteries are to be connected together for charging purposes, the D+ signal from the alternator is used for control.

If this is not accessible or not available on newer alternators, the VOTRONIC D+ Simulator generates this signal by detecting the vibrations of the running engine.It operates independently of the alternator's charging operation and is therefore particularly suitable for vehicles that have alternator management, such as vehicles that comply with the Euro 6 standard. With its low power consumption of less than 3mA, it meets the requirements of DIN EN 13976.

The VOTRONIC D+ Simulator PRO 3067 offers the following functions

Installation

• Attach the D+ simulator to a suitable location on the motor using a clamp
• The installation must not impair the function of the engine.
• The vehicle manufacturer's instructions must be observed.
• The installation position is arbitrary
• Attach the clamp to the lower third (opposite the connection side) of the device.
• Check that the device is securely fastened!
• Route the cables so that they cannot come into contact with any parts with temperatures above 100°C
• Secure cables so that they are free of tensile forces
