The Victron Energy Venus GX System Control Module (MPN BPP900400100) offers intuitive operation and monitoring of all Victron-based power systems. It is particularly suitable as the heart of an ESS (Energy Storage System). In terms of functionality, the Venus GX is similar to Victron's Color Control GX, but without a display and without a built-in modem, making it considerably more affordable. It transmits all system data to Victron's free VRM portal, from where you can monitor and administer your power system worldwide.

In addition to the power electronics, fuel levels of up to 3 tanks can also be monitored and visualized in the VRM portal. In addition to remote monitoring of the connected devices, remote configuration is also possible.

Remote console on the VRM

Setup and monitoring are performed via the remote console. Either via the VRM, via the built-in WiFi access point, or via the local LAN/WiFi network.

Automatic generator start/stop

An extremely flexible start/stop system. Use of charging, voltage, load, and other parameters. Specific settings can be configured for idle times and, optionally, a monthly test run.

Internet connection

The Venus GX can be connected to the Internet via an Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi. The Venus GX does not have an internal mobile modem: there is no slot for a SIM card. Instead, use a standard GPRS or 3G router.

Tank level indicator inputs

The inputs for the fuel gauge are resistive: connect these to a resistive fuel transmitter. Victron does not offer such fuel transmitters. The ports of the fuel gauge can be configured to work with European fuel transmitters (0 - 180 ohms) or US fuel transmitters (240 - 30 ohms).

Data recording

If the system is connected to the Internet, all data is sent to the VRM portal. If no internet connection is available, the Venus GX stores the data internally for up to 48 hours. Even more data can be stored by inserting a micro SD card or USB stick. These files can be uploaded to the VRM portal or converted offline for analysis using the VictronConnect app.
