Offgridtec Backup Kit 10.24kWh Pytes V5a Battery - Victron MultiPlus II 48/3000 Inverter 1-Phase

Offgridtec’s single-phase backup systems are ideal for emergency power supply or for expanding an existing solar system. In addition to lithium-ion batteries from Pytes, the systems include compatible MultiPlus-II inverters and a Victron Energy Cerbo GX MK2 for system monitoring. This allows you to ensure your power supply even in the event of a power outage.

With Pytes batteries, you have a storage capacity ranging from 5.12 kWh to 10.24 kWh, allowing you to use your energy efficiently and remain self-sufficient for longer when needed. Thanks to the UPS function, the MultiPlus remains powered on even during a grid failure and takes over powering the connected loads. The switchover happens so quickly (in less than 20 milliseconds) that uninterrupted operation of computers and other electronic devices is guaranteed.

Expanded use of your backup system

The backup kit is available with or without a Victron energy meter and cable; however, an energy meter is mandatory for setting up an energy storage system.

With this energy meter, you can perform a grid-parallel installation and subsequently monitor your energy consumption or control your energy costs. Thanks to phase compensation, you can even use the 3-phase meter for 1-phase systems. This makes seamless integration of decentralized energy sources and consumers into the existing power grid a breeze.

To ensure an ESS can be included in the pre-configuration, the meter must be purchased in advance or as part of the system!

The electronic core – the Victron Multiplus-II unit combination

The Multiplus-II is a high-end device combination from Victron Energy, consisting of a 48V battery charger, inverter, and transfer switch. This combination integrates the classic Multiplus components with an external current sensor and built-in anti-islanding function. This extends the PowerControl and PowerAssist functions to 50A and broadens the potential application range to include energy storage system applications. The Multiplus is therefore ideal for use as a backup device in both grid-connected and off-grid power supply systems.
