Balcony power plants in Germany

There is currently no law or regulation in Germany governing the generation of solar power for purely personal use. The maximum limit of 600W AC PV power is a reserve value which, according to the current VDE standard, can be fed into an existing power outlet circuit in a house without overloading it. There are no specifications for independent circuits without additional load.
All electrical installations should be carried out in accordance with VDE standards. However, the operation of a balcony power plant via a standard Schuko socket is not prohibited in principle. Registration with the Federal Network Agency is mandatory.
