How does a balcony power plant work?
The Offgridtec balcony power plant is a compact solar system with several solar modules and a Zendure AIO storage system. The Hyper 2000 inverter is connected to the Schuko socket in the house and stacked on top of the battery. The solar power generated is used directly in the household, and the battery stores excess energy for later use. If mains power is available, the devices use this first before accessing the stored energy. This allows you to optimize your power supply efficiently.

Balcony power plants in Germany
There is currently no law or regulation in Germany governing the generation of solar power for purely personal use. The maximum limit of 600W AC PV power is a reserve value which, according to the current VDE standard, can be fed into an existing power outlet circuit in a house without overloading it. There are no specifications for independent circuits without additional load.
All electrical installations should be carried out in accordance with VDE standards. However, the operation of a balcony power plant via a standard Schuko socket is not prohibited in principle. Registration with the Federal Network Agency is mandatory. However, there are no known cases of fines for failure to register balcony power plants, nor are there any insurmountable problems with grid operators. Compliance with and implementation of standards and obligations is the responsibility of the plant operator. A wealth of technical and legal information on this subject can be found on relevant websites.
