Offgridtec backup kit 28.8kWh Pylontech LiFePO4 battery - Victron MultiPlus II 48/10000 3-phase inverter

The backup systems from Offgridtec are ideal for emergency power supply or for expanding an existing solar system. The systems include lithium-ion batteries from Pylontech, a suitable MultiPlus-II inverter, and a Cerbo GX MK2 for system monitoring from Victron Energy. This ensures that you can maintain your power supply even during a power outage.

Thanks to the UPS function, the MultiPlus remains switched on even in case of a grid failure and takes over the supply of connected loads. The switchover happens so quickly (in less than 20 milliseconds) that uninterrupted operation of computers and other electronic devices is guaranteed.

Extended use of your backup system

To build an ESS (Energy Storage System) with the backup system, an energy meter with connection cable is required:

• Victron VM-3P75CT energy meter 3-phase 75A/phase
• 5m Victron RJ45 UTP cable

With this energy meter you can perform a grid-parallel installation and then monitor your energy consumption or control your energy costs. Thanks to phase compensation, you can also use the 3-phase meter for 1-phase systems. This makes seamless integration of decentralized energy sources and loads into the existing power grid possible.

For an ESS to be considered in the preconfiguration, the meter must be purchased in advance or together with the system!

The electronic core – the Victron MultiPlus-II device combination

The MultiPlus-II is a high-end device combination from Victron Energy, consisting of a 48V battery charger, inverter, and transfer switch. This combination merges the classic MultiPlus components with an external current sensor and integrated anti-islanding function. As a result, the PowerControl and PowerAssist functions are extended to 50A and the potential range of use is expanded to energy storage system applications. The MultiPlus can therefore ideally be used as a backup device in both grid-connected and off-grid power supply systems.
